ref.1680 uit 1978. Heeft in 2008 een volledige service ondergaan bij Rolex
(euro 850,00) en is sindsdien nauwelijks gedragen. Tritium wijzers en
wijzerplaat in mintstaat. Mooie dikke kast met de originele facetranden.

Gold Filled & Steel Rolex Oyster "Pall Mall"
manual wind watch, model number 3121, case number 187532, dating from
1942/3.
Original & unusual dial, which
is two tone black with an outer seconds track and an inner minute one.
The numerals are full arabic luminous even numbers and luminous batons
for the odd hours with the words "Rolex Oyster Pall Mall" below
the 12 and "Observatory" below the centre post. There is a subsidiary
seconds dial with printed numerals and the sweep seconds hand and the
main "pencil" hands are all gilt. The 2-piece cushion case has
a gold filled top & a stainless steel screwed back and is in excellent
condition.
The movement is a high quality 10½ Hunter, marked "Superbalance"
on the winding wheel and "Swiss made" on the main plate, 17
jewels, heavy gold balance and the jewels are in brass chatons.
This is the actual watch shown on page 68 of James Downings book.
The case is in 90% condition and the movement & dial are 90+%.
The watch measures 29mm diam, 36mm lug to lug and 10mm
high, it takes a 16mm strap and a new lizard skin one has been fitted.
